   It's really difficult to buy a mattress "blind" like this, without the chance to lay on it before purchasing.I looked at a lot of mattresses in the store. I really liked the 100% latex at the mattress factory, but it was three or four times the price of this set and I couldn't afford it. After researching online, this looked liked a good compromise and a nice price so I took the chance and ordered.Everything arrived in three boxes in about a week. The frame assembled easily. The mattress came up to full height within a minute. There was some smell, but not too strong. After I made the bed with a dust-mite protector pad you couldn't smell anything.The frame that comes with it is really neat. No need for a box spring, and that space is all available as storage underneath. At first it squeaked but the noise was coming from the rubber on the bottom of the feet against my hardwood floor. I put some craft "foam sheets" from the dollar store under the feet and now it's absolutely silent and sturdy.This mattress is very firm. The pros are that there is zero motion transfer, the latex is likely to be extremely durable, it does not "sleep hot" as much as many foam mattresses, and it is very supportive and has a bouncy feel to it while not making creaking noises. The pressure relief benefits are also very real; despite it being much firmer than my old mattress, I have had no more problems with my arms falling asleep from pressure on the shoulders. The con is that this is really the firmest mattress I've ever felt, and I just can't get a good's night sleep on it. I prefered a foam product because they typically feel softer. But this mattress is actually as firm as the firmest traditional mattress you'll see on a showroom floor. It's not for me and now I'm stuck with an uncomfortable bed until I can save up for a new one: Not what I was hoping for when I tried to save some cash by buying online.
